You truly seem to have a genuine interest in this Wiki project and I hope it will blossom into something great. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

For your information, I am not a spammer and I have never vandalised any Wikipedia articles before. I am only politely asking for translation help. It is up to them to decide whether or not they will choose to help me.

Also, for your information, I am not the only person asking for translation help.

User:Pietras1988 has already asked numerous wikipedias (212 in fact) for translation help on his hometown of Kurów.
User:Herr Kriss has also asked numerous Wikipedias for the translation of his dear hometown of Katowice.
User:Peter Ret has also asked numerous Wikipedias for translation help of his hometown of Mošovce.
User:123owca321 has also asked numerous Wikipedias for translation help of his hometown of Końskowola.

All of these users have asked politely for help and none of these Wikipedians have ever vandalised any Wikipedia.

In fact, if you ever wanted your favourite article/s to be translated into the Chinese or Taiwanese language, just ask me and I would be glad to help you.

I've already seen untranslated versions of this article in the Komi edition any other smaller wikis, therefore I cannot but call this spam. I guess your request matches the definition of en:Wikipedia:Canvassing, also known as spamming. Concerning the expansion of the Venda Wikipedia, it would be far more useful to point potential contributors to m:List of articles every Wikipedia should have. --Johannes Rohr 10:31, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do not deny that it may be classified as 'canvassing', however it is acceptable if it is done on a minor or occasional basis (as opposed to a daily basis).

I myself define it simply as a Translation Request. Nevertheless, regardless of the recognition criteria, in the end it is up to the User to decide whether or not he/she will help me. Wikipedia is a Free Encyclopedia, hence we can neither have the right to force people into help us, nor do we have the right to stop people from helping us. They do it by their own free will. Therefore if they choose not to help me, then I will remove my request (ie. 'clean up the mess'); if they choose to help me, then I will offer them my help in the future. --Jose77 22:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translated logo for this wiki[edit source]

Hello! We have noticed that your wiki's current logo is not translated. We are trying to help Wikipedias get a localised logo, by taking the technical difficulties on us. We currently don't know how to translate "Wikipedia" and "The Free Encyclopedia" to the language of this wiki: it would be really helpful if you could just add the correct translations to the list of logos or tell us on its talk.
